When would you like using Java Hashtable
Hashtable is an implementation of a key-value pair data structure in java. You can store and retrieve a ‘value’ using a ‘key’ and it is an identifier of the value stored. It is obvious that the ‘key’ should be unique.When would you like using Java Hashtable,for what?And do you think it is really helpful?
The java API documentation is actually very good. Hashtables in java are more generic than what one normally thinks of hashtables as. So instead of key being just numbers, you can use any object. When the Hashtable user stores an object she provides a key value which represents the object and the object itself.
