Nice Explanation. I think this will be very useful for the beginners who are all need to know about HTML.Also Explain about CSS .
How does HTML work?
HTML consists of a series of short codes typed into a text-file by the site author these are the tags. The text is then saved as a html file, and viewed through a browser, like Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. This browser reads the file and translates the text into a visible form, hopefully rendering the page as the author had intended. Writing your own HTML entails using tags correctly to create your vision. You can use anything from a rudimentary text-editor to a powerful graphical editor to create HTML pages.

great info.. yes.. you can make html pages through text editor like notepad and etc.. it is more convenient though
Good explanation. HTML is basic and easy web page designing language. In HTML various types of tags are using. Basically HTML code typed into a notepad (text-file) so its absolutely free.

when you open your browser it reads the html code for each page you visit. it understands what each tag and argument means, so it can display the page properly.

html is mainly used for small static pages designing purpose html file is save as .html or .htm , thanks for sharing this question.
