Sometimes I do a search and I the find text content in a PDF file of a website as the result.

Does that mean Google count the content in the PDF files (linked from your site) as relevant content for your site?

For example, if I sell Widgets and I have bunch of PDF data sheets from the manufacturer, if I link these PDF files from my site, they are "indexable" and relevant content?
