Forum signature links and traffic

I would like to asked if its possible to get traffic using signature links in no follow and do follow forums? Or you only get backlinks from it? I am new to SEO so I am bit clueless about traffic all I know is that forum posting is important in SEO because it can give you backlinks but traffic issue isn’t very clear to me . Hope you can enlighten me about it .

Does forum signature amount to spamming? If so how? Signature can bear anything under the sun? Then why the restriction?

Firstly, if your post or thread is imformative to others then 100% they are going to click on your signature link. And yes posting on only dofollow forums will give you back links not on no follow forums.
And about spamming, if you dont follow the forum rule then it would be called as spamming. Like by posting offtopic comments, creating unusual threads or posts, posting above post limits. This will cause in spamming and you will get ban or may be a legal action will be taken.
So post related to topic, follow the forum rules, don't go beyond the post limit, share something useful.

Some of forum are give chance to create our signature links and some other forums are canot allow create signature link. Are there any method to solve that problem or want to do general rule of forums ?

Yes you can drag some traffic through forum signatures and also get some backlinks too. But my question is what is the difference between niche related links are they effective more than links from any niche site...

@ncpsri rules are rules, you cannot add images to your signature if you aren't allowed !
BTW forum signature do work good for Traffic but thats not reliable if you are posting some 3 posts a week !
You need to come under people's cursor for that it needs hard work !

for traffic nofoloow or dofollow depends upon the site which has getting traffic.you have to look how much the other site getting traffic and then what your site getting hits .
Some forums hide signatures for guests in this way you dont get anything if it is either dofollow or nofollow.
please be sure to check several things and test your site every week.
