Google docs is great but you guys should try using Skydrive as well by microsoft. Do a google search for MSN skydrive. It gives 25 GB free online disk space to all users. Its amazing

Internet provides you with huge number of facilities and can you please say what you are looking for. Google docs is really a perfect tool to use and edit the files easily. I have no idea of skydrive so cant say about that.
As there is clod war running between Google and Microsoft, Microsoft might have introduced this as a competition for docs.

I think that using google docs is better than skydrive.
Because google is the most popular website of the world and we can trust on it.
But I will give a try to skydrive also.
because I want to use the new services.
I hope that skydrive also give the better results.

For collaborative text editing goes I prefer etherpad. The main sever for ehterpad is being shut down but piratepad works just the same. Just do a google search for it.
