For a web site to be made available on the Internet, it has to be hosted on a web server. This is where web hosting comes in. Web hosting is a service that provides individuals, organizations and users with online systems for storing information, images, videos, or any content accessible via the Web. There are plenty of companies (called Web Hosts) that provide Web hosting and they range from Free hosting to Dedicated Hosting.

Good info on web hosting. Websites you develop are to be placed on the web servers to make your website accessible through world wide web.
I think getting dedicated host would be better if you have a very good site and working since a very long time. Free hosting would be best for fresh websites.

If you have the means to do so hosting the site yourself instead of with a web hosting company is a must. You can do so much with a server that you have physical access to that you can't do with a hosting company. Also it provides a good excuse to get a better internet connection.

There 2 things needed to show up your site on internet, 1. Domain and 2. Hosting both of them are important.

I got the web hosting here http://www.hostgator.com and also i got the hosting,domain name register, domain appraisal, online file folder, ssl certificate etc..

Dedicated hosting though expensive is useful in maintaining separate files and apps that pertain to the owner. This is not the case with share hosting.

Dedicated webhost is needed if you have high incoming traffic.

I agree, try switching on a dedicated webhost if you have a lot traffic on your website.

Dedicated hosts are good but they can get expensive fast. They might not be right for you if you are low-budget.

Hey Please tell em what the difference is between linux web hosting and windows web hosting. I made my site by dream weaver does that affect either of the 2 i should choose please tell me thank!
