    Default Domain name for life

I am going to purchase a domain name for a client. The client is asking me that he wants the domain name for life. He doesn't want to renew it every year, is that possible? It is my first time to buy a domain name.

I found one website that offered that. Windows, Linux, and Application Hosting | Top Hosting Center
They say that they offer lifetime hosting and registration. Ive never heard of them before now so I don't know if they are legit.

Most popular hosting companies provide lifetime domains, if you are going to choose this types of service then you need consider following things carefully!

1,are they allow domain ownership transfer in future?
2,if we cancel hosting Agreement ( service) with this hosting then what about our domain status?

I don't think its really the best idea. I agree with vengad11 about what will happens to the domain when your done or if you die. You should also look into would happen if the company went under.

The maximum period of registration of a domain name is generally 10 years. however you can set auto-renewal of your domain, if your payment type - credit card/paypal (or any other) is attached to your domain registrar.
