directories and pr

I've had this discussion all over the web with seo experts and those that are new to the game of webmastering. Everyone always gives a different answer so here it goes, do directories hurt or help your pr?

Submissions to directories do help to gain PR but can’t gain higher PR if you are only doing it. It will not hurt your site in any way.

Submission to directories will help you to increase the traffic of your website, blog or forum.I always use this to get traffic to my blog and website.I hope that everyone here was agree with me.

If you get the backlinks from the directories having high PR then it will give some better results because these inner pages from these high PR directories gives good link juice.

i think directory submission has equally importance as other SEO techniques.i.e Article Submission,blogs,forums,link building etc.And it help u to improve ur PR like the others techniques.

Submission to directories will not help to improve the pr of your site it will just increase the traffic of your website. so if u want to improve the traffic u can do it
