Blogs should receive consistent traffic if the adsense has to do well. There may be a fewer contributors there but the traffic has to be good.

Also see to it that the google adsense ads do not interfere too much with the content of the niche. This might affect the sales.

A good keyword or a popular topic with less competition will help to get lots of traffic..
Traffic is not the only think for blogging, backlinks also matters, if you dont have uniqe content but you have huge backlinks then you will get better rank in google SE and traffic...

If blogs are to have consistent traffic then the content has to be kept fresh at all times. Content is the key for SEO success.

I think Google love fresh & unique content and regular updating. these things with proper Seo will help to increase blogs traffic

Indeed, I agree 100%
But it is also important to have a bunch of loyal readers, also the niche that you chosen is important, if you have many competitors with will be hard to outpace them.
