Yes,it's really helpfull ,but i prefer more to ftp program like fllezille.

Instalatron
CPAdon

Fantastico is only for linux server? I doubt that you can not use it in win server

Fantastico is a good option but Softacolous is better then it. It has more scripts then Fantastico.

Manually Installation of wordpress.
1. download latest wordpress from wordpres.org and upload all your files through ftp program

or inbuilt http based file up-loader in your hosting panel.
2. extract if you have uploaded a zip file.
3. traverse to the folder of wordpress.
for example if your site name is xyzsite.com, then path will be
xyzsite.com/wordpress/
Rename wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php then edit following lines.

define('DB_NAME', 'xyz');
xyz is datbase name that you have to manually create in your control panel.
please notice, you can give any name to your database. xyz is chosen just for an example.

/** MySQL database username */
define('DB_USER', 'xyz_user');

/** MySQL database password */
define('DB_PASSWORD', 'xyz_password');

/** MySQL hostname */
define('DB_HOST', 'xyz_hostname');

all xyz is fake names, you have to replace the original hosting parameters.
if you dont understand all these, you can ask to your hosting provider helpdesk.

4. save the file and go to http://xyzsite.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php , replace your domain/website name in place of xyzsite

5. enter the title and email address and go to next screen. password will be created automatically, copy it in notepad. you can change it later.
