The idea of adding "chat" in the blogs is interesting and the visitors will fell pleased to enjoy this. But at the same time it may distract your focus to unnecessary or unwanted topics which is its major flaw.
Boost your blog views by adding chat
If your blog has low visitors than you can use any chat box, like shoutmix, cbox, etc. Then visit other blogs and post your blog link. Then they will visit your blog in return. In this way you can increase your blog visitors as well as advertising revenue. But always try to give return visit to your visitors. what you say?

yes, WP Chat is a good one, but most peoples using this chatroom for their advertisement and spamming.

i have seen forums like this only with chat features and when i went there, all i wanted to do was chatting. so chat is not a good option to promote forum cuz people don't post just chat.
i was just thinking this but i say this is not nice point but now i think it is very nice point. chat is nice but it does not give enough benefit to website, because everyone will left posting and start chating, all nice and big traffic forum, don't have chat option
